Ansleigh's Corner

The talent and creativity of our many clients never has and never will cease to amaze me. The proof of the magnitude of their efforts shows everywhere: their sales, their group followings, and their undying fans. One of the greatest examples we’ve had the pleasure to work with is the most amazing Mami Jewell.

Her brand AZUL has risen to grid-wide notoriety in an extremely impressive and extremely short amount of time. Don’t think this has anything to do with luck or coincidence however; everything Mami has achieved has been due to a fierce tenacity and ambition. At Wilder, we pride ourselves on having these exact same qualities, which is why we are so pleased that Mami has chosen us as her PR partner.

It was a little over a year ago that Mami came to us to promote the opening of her sim and her AZUL mainstore. Mami studied with the gifted edo Tone, of Styles of edo. After learning the tricks of the trade, Mami quickly proved that she was unique among formal wear designers in Second Life. Her detailed designs and exquisite prim work give testament to her passion for her profession. Mami launched her brand and fashionistas across the grid took notice.

Ever humble, Mami is constantly giving back to the Second Life community, donating to amazing causes, and helping her fellow residents. Wilder Public Relations has had the pleasure of forming many new acquaintances and forging many new business relationships at the suggestion of Ms. Jewell. Her generosity lies not only among her business contacts, however. Mami is an avid participant in Relay for Life of Second Life and many other causes, including her current efforts to raise money for the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti through a special edition gown at her store.

If it is true that the more one gives the more one receives, then Mami is certainly proves it. While she has been busy helping others and giving SL some of the best couture creations around, residents all around have been showing their appreciation. Mami has enjoyed a large following of fashion savvy shoppers who have helped her brand rise to its current level of success. In this short year, Mami has launched a bridal line, expanded her sim and created stunning designs worn by many prestigious residents around SL, including Miss Virtual World 2009 and three finalists for Miss Virtual World 2010.

The crowning jewel (no pun intended) of Mami’s inspiring career came early this year when AZUL was named VAIN Magazine’s Reader’s Choice for Best Female Formal Wear of 2010. This award shows Mami’s distinction in her field and her customers’ appreciation. Never one to dwell on her own success, Mami immediately set out to show thanks to her supporters by holding her first ever sale this past weekend. The sale was a huge success, with Mami adding an additional 800 members to her group over the course of the two day event.

We at Wilder Public Relations are proud to have Mami as one of our clients not only because of her extreme business savvy and truly incredible products, but because she embodies the characteristics that we value in our organization: dedication, ambition, loyalty, and humanity. We are sure that her success to date and the honor of her recent awards are only the beginning for Mami, and we look forward to being by her side as she continues to prosper.
