Ansleigh's Corner

I’m a Georgia Peach- tried and true, and at no time am I more proud of that than in the spring. This week was the first week that brought us temperatures in the eighties, and with only two weeks of school left, I can almost taste summer. All around town azaleas and wisteria are blooming, bathing yards and homes in beautiful shades of pinks and purples. The hydrangeas are about to bloom too, and soon after that the magnolias, crepe myrtles, and gardenias will follow. Something about the warm weather and the fresh flowers and new life just makes the whole world seem to be buzzing with new energy, and I’ve really felt it lately.

We’ve certainly been that way this past week at Wilder Public Relations. I swear you just can’t stop Wilder’s Angels. We’re fresh off our last project with Bliss Couture and barreling straight into a new project with our good friends at Koinup. They’ve partnered up with MetaLIFE to put on a fabulous new photography contest inviting residents of SL to enter original snapshots illustrating what shopping means to them. With all of the fun new fashions out this spring, and with how much we all love shopping anyway, I can’t think of a better way to show off our creativity and maybe even win some prizes while doing it. You can find more information at

Everything just seems to be buzzing right along this spring. We’ve got some great new things lined up for May here at Wilder, so keep checking back to see what we have going on. As always, we wish to express our appreciation to our clients and friends for helping to make us as successful as we are: thank you so much for all that you do for us.

In closing, I’d like to wish all of ya'll a wonderful week and encourage you to take some time to take in all the beauty spring has to offer in your neck of the woods. Take a walk, go to the park, or just drive around town with the windows down, but don’t let the chance to experience the new life and energy unfolding around you pass you by. We’re all busy, and if you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, you’ll be amazed at how refreshed and rejuvenated just a little time spent appreciating nature can make you feel.

Wishing you only the best,

If you ever visit Six Flags in Atlanta, Georgia, be sure to ride the Great American Scream Machine. A giant and very old wooden roller coaster, the Scream Machine is sure to jar your teeth and leave you wondering where your stomach went. The second you reach the crest of the first hill, you’ll wonder why you even got on it; you’ll be sure that the thing will collapse, you’ll be thrown from the car, or you’ll lose your lunch. You’ll hear the screams of those around you, and you’ll vaguely remember the feeling from somewhere, and, in that fraction of a second of weightless uneasiness before you plummet down the other side, you’ll think to yourself, “Oh yeah…that one week in SL….”

There’s no denying that the previous week was one of extreme highs and lows. Of the highs, they may have been few, but they were good. We at Wilder were pleased to be in attendance at some of the first events of our client Annemarie Perenti’s Best of Italian Elegance competition. All of the ladies in contention were fantastic, and we here at Wilder would like to offer our congratulations and best wishes to all of the wonderful finalists. Saturday, the Wilder ladies stepped out again to attend Amutey DeCuir’s Bliss Couture Spring Fashion Show, which we helped promote, and enjoyed viewing her new line of gowns for the new season. To all of you who also attended these fantastic events, thank you so much for joining us for a display of some of the finest creativity, style, and excellence SL has to offer.

As for the lows, some of you may know what they are and some of you may be lucky enough that you do not, but since I do not wish to dwell on the negative, I will not discuss them here. I will, however, continue my earler conceit: As you fly over the hilly track, bouncing roughly up and down, back and forth, cursing yourself for climbing into such a rickety old coaster, you’ll think back to this week and relive all of the trying things that have happened. You’ll remember the surprise, the sadness, the shock, the disbelief, and finally the seething anger. Your voice will join the many around you, some screaming in delight, some in terror as you all barrel toward your final destination together, and only you’ll know which emotion will color it.

Your ride on the Scream Machine will seem to stretch on for ages, much like this tumultuous past week has. But in a mere two minutes, it will all be over. Here is where my comparison ceases to fit inside its neat little box. Although known as the Terror of the Timber, once it’s over, most will remember the ride as a fun experience. Unfortunately, no one will say the same of last week. Although the events of these past few days have left a lasting, unwanted, and, for many, painful mark on a great number of our lives, one positive note is that, like the roller coaster, it accounts for just a moment in the grander scheme of time. Nothing will ever fully right what has happened, but time can make it easier to bear.

Time never ceases; with each new day come new opportunities, challenges, and successes. And with each new day, our past setbacks, heartaches, and failures fall further and further behind us. It is prudent for us all to allow the past to go and focus on the bright future ahead of us. We at Wilder intend to do just that. We are excited about the completion of the Best of Italian competition and anxiously await what May and all of the coming months hold in store. As always, we thank our friends and clients for their wonderful help and support in making Wilder Public Relations the success that it is, and look forward to having you all be a part of the great things yet to come for us.

Wishing you only the best,

We've all felt it coming, but something about Easter always makes spring feel like it's really sprung. Everything in nature is budding with a renewed sense of life and bursting with new and better things to offer us in the coming year.

And things are no different here in SL...

At Wilder, things are blooming quite nicely this month. We've had the pleasure of working with Annemarie Perenti of Best of Italian Style as she puts on her Elegance SL Competition, encouraging women from all walks of this Second Life to come out and show their fresh take on style and elegance. We've also worked with the wonderful people of Koinup as they put on their Comic Strip Contest, inviting any aspiring cartoonist in SL to take advantage of a brand new and innovative tool, the Murku HUD, to show us all what creative and unique talents our neighbors here possess. Finally, we're excited this month to be involved with Amutey DeCuir, of Bliss Couture, and her forthcoming fashion show, where she'll be showcasing some lovely designs for spring.

Our clients aren't the only ones making a splash this spring; the Wilder team stepped out this weekend to attend the Narkissos fashion show, presented by Styles of edo, and featuring the talented designers of Narkissos Fashion Village. We were delighted to see some gorgeous new looks there, including the work of Wilder's newest client Asalt Eames, whom we are pleased to be working with very soon. This was the first fashion show I've been to and I quite enjoyed myself. The many different outlets of creativity in SL never cease to amaze me; much like the coming of spring never ceases to amaze us out of our dreary winter gloom.

For those of you who may not know, I myself am still pretty green here at Wilder. However, as we always see this time of year, a lot of growing can be done in just a few short weeks. I already feel quite at home in our beautiful office, and I've been made quite welcome by both Annette and Mahala, as well as all of you out there that I've had the pleasure of meeting. I look forward to growing even more with Wilder in time to come.

On behalf of Wilder PR Firm, I wish all of you joy and happiness this holiday. This is a time to reflect and be grateful for all of the wonderful things in our lives and a time to look ahead with great hope to what lies in store for us. We'd also like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation to all of our great clients and colleagues: thank you for all that you do to help and support our company. We count ourselves truly blessed to know you and wish to renew this spring what we hope will be a perennial friendship between us all.

Wishing you only the best,
Ansleigh Beverly

Our new fabulous commercial is completed thanks to the hard work of AWM Mars and his WBA Advertising team. As you may remember AWM made our first awesome commercial as well. Working with AWM is always a pleasure and he is all about taking our vision and making it a reality. We would like to take this time to thank AWM for all his dedication, input, and time he put into making this a wonderful commercial. Yes that is my voice in the commercial (lol) and making this with Mahala was great. It was her first time on a set and she did fantastic! The concept of the commercial starting out in black/white and going to color when we enter was Mahala's idea. AWM really took that idea and ran with it and we are very happy with the end result. We have it streaming from our office in-world starting today in our lounge area. We will also have it added to the blog and our websites very soon but for now please feel free to click below and watch:
